Rukuhia Te Waiora
This event is the annual scientific meeting of the NZ Pain Society Inc.
Pain is the most common reason people seek healthcare and the leading cause of disability in the world, affecting more than 30% of people worldwide and accounting for at least 5% of total disability-adjusted life years in New Zealand. Costs of living with persistent pain in NZ have been estimated to be around $20,000 per person or $15 billion/year. Sadly medicines and surgery are not able to bring resolution of pain for many.
The conference will commence with Pre-Conference Workshops on Thursday 11th March; with the NZPS Conference starting on Friday 12th through to Saturday 13th March 2026.
The 2027 ASM has a vital role in bringing together both local and international practitioners in the pain arena. Join us and help us connect and come together to enhance our collective ability to understand and manage pain. We look forward to seeing you in Hamilton.
