|Practice Name:||Petra Hoggarth Clinical Psychologist|
|Bio:||I am a registered clinical psychologist. I completed a PhD in psychology in 2011 and qualified as a registered clinical psychologist in 2012 at the university of Canterbury. For nine years (2011 - 2020) I worked in the Older Persons Mental Health service at the Canterbury District Health Board. At the end of 2020 I started private practice in Christchurch seeing adult clients (aged 18 and over).
I provide psychotherapeutic treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, adjustment to life circumstances, adjustment to chronic illness, grief and bereavement, and managing adult ADHD. I use the evidence-based talking therapies of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
I also provide adult ADHD assessments (age 18+). See my website for more details about this.
|Availability:||I work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Check my website to see if I am currently taking clients (if not it will be noted on the home page).|
