|Bio:||Ashley has provided support to people at difficult moments in their life for more than 15 years and continues to support children, adolescents, adults, couples and families, to understand issues and explore how to create more positive ways of coping and relating. Depending on the nature of the difficulties experienced, both shorter and longer-term work is offered.
Ashley’s primary approach is Psychodynamic Psychotherapy but is trained in and draws from a variety of other psychological therapies, including Family Systems and Family Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy. Ashley adopts a developmental and family focused approach when working with children, young people and families.
Ashley offers short-term consultation services for government, and non-government agencies and businesses to facilitate strategic planning and direction, consult on change management and to support the professional development of staff.
In addition to a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, Ashley also has a Master of Business Administration and a Master of International Public Health. Ashley has provided consultancy services to local, national and international organisations in New Zealand and internationally.
