I am a Clinical Psychologist and am passionate about working with people to help them to develop mental wellness and resilience.

Sometimes there may be an area in life which is causing us distress, or an event happens that upsets our equilibrium. Having the time and space to talk about our difficulties can help us to find new perspectives and to learn skills so that we can get back on with enjoying our lives. I work with a range of issues including stress, burnout, low self-esteem, low mood and worry. I have a particular interest in work-related stress and developing mental resilience. I work with a range of symptoms including depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, perfectionism, eating disorders (Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder).

I currently work in private general clinical practice, as well as running mental wellbeing training for businesses ( I previously worked at Auckland District Health Board. I also lecture on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).

It takes courage to reach out for support, and I offer assessment, diagnosis and treatment, where we can work together to create positive change. I place an emphasis on working collaboratively in an empowering manner using evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also draw on mindfulness based approaches and Dialetical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). My honours degree in Human Biology allows me to bring a strong understanding of physiological processes and how these interact with mental wellbeing.

I work in a professional, warm, and non-judgemental way according to your goals and needs to help you to lead a fulfilling and purposeful life.
