|Bio:||Dave Robertson has worked as a Clinical Psychologist since graduating in 1991 (University of Canterbury). Outside of work, he’s a busy family man and enjoys many aspects of the Bay of Plenty lifestyle.
In his work, he relishes meeting people, getting to know them and their unique life situations, and supporting and assisting them cope, develop and achieve their goals. He has experience working with a wide range of psychological challenges from adolescence through to the older years, and he works with individuals, couples and families.
Dave flexibly utilises a range of psychotherapeutic models, including ACT/mindfulness models, CBT, Schema Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, parenting and marital/relationship models.
The challenges he often assists people with include anxiety, depression, relationship and marital stress, trauma, sexuality issues, pain, adjustment to illness, injury and disability, teen issues, challenging behaviours, ASD, ADHD, and the challenges of mid-life and older age. He also clinically supervises Psychologists throughout Aotearoa/New Zealand.
