About
I am a registered clinical psychologist and have worked in the field of mental health for over 5 years, in a range of settings. I have worked with people who have faced many different mental health challenges, often anxiety and depression, both periodic and the reoccurring kinds.
Poor mental health can significantly impact on people. It can jeopardize work, create tension in intimate relationships, and take away time and energy people cannot afford to lose. Therapy can help a person to look introspectively, re assess areas in which they are struggling, and form new insights to solve old problems.
I have helped people achieve this in different ways, including through play with very young children, and with family therapy for those in new life phases, and during times of conflict. I also work with people using one-to-one therapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy. My work is strongly influenced by humanistic and existential therapies. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and accepting therapeutic space for people I work with.
It is important to assess for yourself the rightness of fit, and whether I am someone you could see yourself working with. Please contact me if you have questions or would like to discuss anything further.
