Alan Hackney is a registered Clinical Psychologist with 30 years of practice across a number of settings including the Justice Sector Health Private Practice and not for profit Christian organisations. For the past 15 years Alan has specialised in leadership management and mentoring staff in the Corrections field. He has led a team responsible for developing and designing national practice guidelines for psychologists and other professionals working with high-risk offenders in prison and community settings. He has provided professional and ethical advice directly to psychologists as well as advice on several pieces of new legislation to the Department of Corrections. Project work has been a key component of his recent role and he has taken a lead role in several small to medium research projects. Alan currently works in his own private practice and offers a range of services including consultancy advice supervision training and clinical practice.
