About

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Massey University, 2012). I am a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists (NZCCP). I have experience working with adults of all ages both in the public health sector and in private practice. I provide individual effective, evidence-based psychotherapy to adults of all ages in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I see people with a range of difficulties and work collaboratively with you to learn to understand and manage those difficulties. My approach is tailored to individual needs using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Positive Psychology (strength/ resilience based). The aim is to empower people by giving them practical coping strategies to manage their difficulties in specific situations. I also focus on the very real "mind-body connections," especially when they relate to chronic pain issues and stress. I am originally from Germany and moved to New Zealand in 1986. I speak fluent, accent free English and German. I can provide therapy in both languages.
