About
Kia ora. I am a warm, kind, and approachable clinical psychologist with experience working with youths, adults, and older adults with a range of mental health concerns. This includes (but is not limited to) depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, grief, trauma, sleep difficulties, and issues associated with performance anxiety and clinical perfectionism. I work both privately and through the DHB. This includes extensive speciality experience working with defence force personnel and Catholic clergy. I use a range of therapeutic modalities which include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion-focused Therapy, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. I take a strengths-based, client-centred approach, and am skilled at engaging and motivating people to make positive changes in their lives. Most importantly I value building a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients through an empathetic calm and flexible therapeutic style.
