About
I am a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years experience in the field of eating disorders as a Clinician, Academic, Researcher & Trainer. I love working in this area and genuinely believe that recovery is possible for every individual. I enjoy working in a warm collaborative manner with my clients in the context of evidence-based treatment models for eating disorders. I see all presentations of eating disorders including those with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating and adolescents/young adults/adults with early forms of disordered eating or body confidence concerns. I trained in eating disorders at the world renowned Maudsley Hospital (King's College London), am widely published in the field and actively involved in both local and international research on eating disorders. Alongside my clinical work I am a Senior Lecturer in mental health for primary care at the University of Auckland, teaching GP's and supervising MSc and PhD research students. I am an executive committee board member for the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders and a member of the international Academy of Eating Disorders and the Eating Disorders Research Society.
