Michelle is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. Michelle has experience working in private and public healthcare alongside criminal justice settings. She is committed to working collaboratively compassionately and in a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive manner. Her main therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Trauma-Informed Practice and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) however Michelle aims to provide evidence-based and supportive therapy that is tailored to meet individual needs. Michelle has experience in undertaking comprehensive clinical assessments and providing therapy on both an individual and group basis. Michelle has previously worked for a specialist community provider of group and individual treatment for people who have engaged in harmful or concerning sexual behaviour. Michelle currently works both for Explore where she provides assessment and treatment to a variety of different challenges including mood difficulties trauma and behavioural challenges. She also runs a private practice where she provides assessment and treatment for a range of difficulties including neuropsychological assessments and psychological treatment for adverse and traumatic experiences anxiety and depression. Additionally Michelle has experience providing supervision for registered practitioners allied health professionals and other professionals who benefit from professional supervision.
