About

I am a registered clinical psychologist, originating from Johannesburg South Africa. Working within an eclectic therapeutic approach, I incorporate various psychotherapy modalities (such as Systemic and Family Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic, Existential/Humanistic, Mentalisation Based Therapy; EMDR, Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Mindfulness) to ensure that each client, couples or families’ needs are met, and that are uniquely tailored to them. My aim is to create a safe, confidential and exploratory therapeutic space to help clients in developing deep insight into themselves, experience personal growth and to foster healthy habits in order to navigate various obstacles. My experience includes working in private practice, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, adult community mental health services, as well as youth and adult corrections. My belief is that finding a therapist who is objective, open and non-judgemental, whom you trust to keep sacred your inner most painful, hidden and deep seated thoughts, feelings and difficulties, can be one of the most liberating gifts you can allow yourself. This is why I became a psychologist. I offer therapy to adolescents from age 12 years, adults, couples therapy and family therapy and provide therapeutic services through ACC Sensitive Claims. I have a special interest in, though not limited to, the following areas: Mood (Bipolar and Major Depression) and Anxiety Disorders Insight-orientated and personal growth; Fertility/Infertility, pre- and post-natal adjustments Trauma Therapy and Debriefing; Personality Disorders; Sexuality and Gender-Related Therapy (Incl. Sex Therapy and Issues related to LGBTQIA+). This might include difficulties related to sexual functioning, feelings and intimacy, whether through individual or couples therapy.
