Rachael Sim

Kia ora, my name is Dr Rachael Sim and I'm a registered Clinical Psychologist based in Blenheim. Upon completing my doctorate at Massey University in Palmerston North, I moved to Western Australia where I worked in private practice for five years. In late 2021 I returned to my hometown of Blenheim and, with the help of my partner James, began work to open my own private practice. I work primarily with adults and adolescents. I have experience assisting my clients with mood and anxiety disorders, stress, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, interpersonal difficulties, borderline personality disorder, grief, and tic disorders. I employ an individualised approach and I am passionate about working collaboratively with my clients so they can achieve their goals and thrive. I use a range of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Schema Therapy, and DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) skills. I offer face-to-face appointments at my office in Henry Street and can also provide telehealth.
