In my 15 years as a Clinical Psychologist I have worked in both public and private settings providing essential mental health support to individuals. Whether through therapy sessions coaching supervision or facilitating workshops my goal has always been to empower individuals to achieve meaningful and sustainable change in their lives. I am trained in several effective therapies including: • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) (reprocess traumatic memories in a safe and structured manner often experiencing a reduction in emotional distress and symptoms related to past traumas.) • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) (focus on valued living self-acceptance and building on strengths) • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) (identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours) • Internal Family Systems (IFS) (explore and integrate different parts of personality fostering inner harmony and healing). Through these modalities I have gained extensive experience working with adults and young people struggling with anxiety trauma loss and grief stress and burnout relationship difficulties life transitions (e.g. menopause) and unhelpful behaviours. I have worked with the corporate sector supporting professionals to successfully navigate today’s rapidly changing and demanding environment. Before retraining as a Clinical Psychologist I held positions as a team leader and manager in two university departments in Australia. This organisational experience ensures that I take a practical approach to wellbeing at work. I am particularly passionate about cultivating strong connections and relationships with my clients so they feel heard validated and encouraged to explore and overcome their difficulties.
