I offer specialist therapeutic services for older adolescents adults and families. My focus is providing a space where my clients can come to understand what underpins their eating difficulties and offering support and guidance as they move from awareness and understanding to figuring out the ‘how’ of making change. My approach to therapy is holistic and includes managing thoughts emotions and behaviour re-examining diet culture strengthening relationships and attuning to our bodies. I offer short and long-term therapy depending on whether brief skill based interventions or space for longer term support and processing is desired. Prior to starting Practice 371 I worked for the Waitemata District Health Board Older Adult Community Mental Health team alongside private practice roles both in general mental health and specialist eating disorder settings. I have also been employed by the University of Auckland as a Research Fellow contributing to eating disorder research. In addition to my work with eating disorders I have a special interest in neuropsychology and working with older adults particularly age-related concerns.
