We are looking for wonderful Psychologists who are passionate about children and adolescent work including, therapy and neurodevelopmental assessments to complement our existing, supportive team of Clinical, Educational & Counselling Psychologists, Counsellors and Consultant Psychiatrists. We are specialists in neurodiversity and clinical mental health, so experience and interest in this area is highly desired. Our neurodiversity assessments are multidisciplinary and full assessment training is provided if needed but prior experience is preferred. We are also in need of an adolescent specialist, especially if you have DBT skills.
Hours are generally fixed but can be flexible (i.e., could include options for early/late starts to fit around family life). Full time and part time (two days per week minimum) options are available, employed or contracting. Remuneration is competitive with opportunities for therapy and innovation in your practice. Flexibility and caring (for self and clients) is key at Totally Psyched. Please note the roles available are based in Takapuna.
As the successful candidate, you will be warm, professional and passionate about working with families, children and adolescents. You'll value being a team player, part of a highly supportive team, professionally developing and working independently and as a whole team around a family. You'll be self-motivated, organized, empathic, have excellent communication skills, be resilient and comfortable working with a variety of clinical level mental health presentations. You'll especially enjoy the collegial support given each day and when attending regular MDT team meetings for peer review/supervision.
We have employed and contractor options, part time and full time. Day to day, you would receive full admin support with scheduling, payments, invoicing etc., enabling you to do what you do best clinically alongside the management team supporting you with referrals and your clients, especially if any concerns arise.
