We are recognised as the New Zealand Neurodiversity Centre of Excellence, and our primary focus is to give neurodivergent families the freedom to thrive: from assessment to diagnosis and ongoing care & support for children and adolescents aged 5 - 17.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

- Playing a key role in neurodevelopmental assessments and ongoing support (e.g. ADHD, ASD and/or Cognitive & Learning Assessments).
- Delivering consultations with children and their parents / caregivers.
- Contributing to and/or delivering Bay Paediatrics workshops, training sessions and masterclasses.

This would suit an ambitious child psychologist, nurse practitioner or occupational therapist.

You will be a key member of a highly-respected multi-disciplinary team consisting of developmental paediatricians and psychiatrists who put the needs of the child at the centre of what we do.

This all happens in our cutting-edge, purpose-built private clinic in the heart of beautiful Tauranga, Bay of Plenty: The New Zealand Neurodiversity Centre of Excellence.

In this space, you will also work alongside leading psychiatrists delivering adult ADHD assessments, psychologists, trauma therapists, play therapists, specialist counsellors and behavioural change specialists.

This is a role where you can make a difference.

This is where you can have 100% impact with 0% bureaucracy.

No on-calls. No burn-out. No layers of managerial red-tape. No politics.

You get to do great work with great people to deliver awesome outcomes that give families the freedom to thrive.

Ideal criteria for this position:

- You need to be registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board under OR a highly skilled occupational therapist or nurse practitioner.
- Hold a current annual practicing certificate
- ADOS trained
- Skilled at delivering WISC-V and WIAT-III learning assessments
- Expert clinical experience and knowledge of child & adolescent neurodevelopmental conditions particularly related to ADHD and ASD.

Flexibility of Role:

For the right candidate we can offer flexibility of role. This could be part-time or full-time, and either be a contract or permanent employment position.

We understand that stepping into private healthcare can feel a bit like a leap sometimes, so we'd be open to considering an initial contractor agreement and then reviewing that contract further down the line to give you the confidence, structure and tools to excel at what you do.

We do want a team player who wants to be part of a winning team in the clinic, but we also offer hybrid working so you would not need to be in the clinic at all times.

What we offer:

You will be well-rewarded. Contract rates would be negotiated, but these are extremely competitive. We respect talent and we want to ensure you get the reward you deserve.

You can make a difference. Do you see an opportunity to deliver a new service to support families? Might you spot a way we can improve what we deliver? Then we can make it happen. Fast. Continuous improvement is one of our core values.

You will be fully supported. When you're part of our team, then you have the support of the team. Marketing, admin, grading, scheduling, invoicing: All taken care of. We want to give you the space to focus on doing what you love and what you do best: Treating patients and helping their families thrive.

You will be part of a true centre of excellence. We are more than just a clinic. We have a podcast, we run the largest events for neurodivergent families in New Zealand, we deliver workshops for parents, schools, universities and businesses. This is about having a positive impact across Aotearoa and beyond.

You can grow. We have ambitious growth plans over the next three years. This is where you can fulfil your potential and be supported to deliver the kind of services and family transformations you always wanted to deliver.

You can have fun! We take our work seriously, but we don't always take ourselves seriously. You'll know that this job isn't always easy, so we do like to be able to laugh at ourselves, have team away days and regular cocktail evenings.
