Nelson Tasman Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team.
About the Role
As our Clinical Psychologist, you will provide specialist psychological assessment, treatment, and support to palliative care patients and their families/whānau. You will work collaboratively with our inter-disciplinary team (IDT), contributing your clinical expertise to ensure high quality end of life care.

• Mentor and support Allied Health colleagues
• Lead group programme development and service improvement initiatives
• Embed Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles into practice
• Uphold and model NZ professional and hospice standards


We are looking for a confident, emotionally intelligent clinician who is comfortable making autonomous decisions, influencing multidisciplinary practice, and contributing to organisational development.


You will bring:
• Passion to provide high quality care to patients and their family/whanau with a life limiting illness.
• Willingness and ability to make autonomous decisions and adopt a leadership role when appropriate.
• Strong adult mental health and complex risk management expertise
• Experience facilitating groups and family meetings
• Registration with the Psychologists Board of Aotearoa New Zealand
• Knowledge of life limiting conditions/disability.
• Experience in conducting debriefings within the health sector.
