Professional Clinician

The Albany Psychology Clinic, part of the School of Psychology, is seeking a professional clinician / supervisor to join our team. This role will focus on clinical service delivery and supervision of students in the university's clinical psychology programme.

We are looking for someone with a solid grounding in clinical assessment and treatment of a range of disorders and someone open to applying this to supervision of students. An ideal candidate would have experience in at least one of the following areas: adult, child/adolescent, cultural work. Our aim is to provide a variety of services that meet the needs of the community as well as our service so there are opportunities to expand our organisational scope depending on the individual experience and expertise of the successful applicant.

This is a 1.0 FTE position (37.5 hrs p/w), however we are open to considering two 0.5 FTE roles (18.75 hrs p/w).

Salary range: Professional Clinician level $86,113 to $109,901 based on skills and experience.

You will need to have a PGDip or other postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology. Additionally, you will also have:

· Proven experience in applied clinical psychology.

· Registration or eligibility for registration with NZ Psychologists Board as a registered clinical psychologist.

· Professional affiliation to a national professional body.

· Experience/interest in supervision and teaching of psychology students.

· Ability to develop new initiatives.

· Excellent organisational, administration and interpersonal skills.

The employment setting will involve work with people across the lifespan and applicants will be required to comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and the Vulnerable Children (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children's Workers) Regulations 2015.
